Partnerships

About me
Kristina Becvar is the Director of Partnerships at the Grand Bargain Project, where she builds strategic alliances and collaborative frameworks to strengthen democracy and collective action. With a background spanning nonprofit leadership, cross-sector collaboration, and data-driven strategy, Kristina brings both relational expertise and analytical rigor to advancing the project's mission.
Before stepping into this role, Kristina served as Executive Director of the Bridge Alliance Education Fund and co-publisher of The Fulcrum, where she led collaborative efforts among diverse pro-democracy organizations working on election reform, civic engagement and education, governance, bridging and peacebuilding, participatory practices, and trusted information. This experience cultivated her ability to forge coalitions, align stakeholders around shared goals, and create infrastructure for collective impact.
Kristina's approach to partnerships is informed by her technical foundation in research and analytics. She earned her M.S. in Data Analytics and Computation for Social Sciences from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, following a B.A. in Business Studies, and has managed research on issues ranging from nuclear taboos and Ukrainian conscription law to post-withdrawal civilian perspectives in Afghanistan. This blend of methodological integrity and commitment to amplifying underrepresented voices enables her to build partnerships grounded in both evidence and equity.
Her professional path is deeply informed by her belief in advocacy and service, shaped by her experiences as the spouse of a disabled combat veteran. Kristina is passionate about creating the collaborative networks and strategic partnerships needed for organizations to collectively advance democratic resilience.
