About me

The Grand Bargain Project holds the promise and potential of uniting our divided country through intentional dialogue that reveals our shared values and common aspirations. Patricia brings four decades of experience working with entrepreneurial startups and community organizing to this vital mission. As co-founder of the Center for Purposeful Leadership, drawing from Art of Convening principles and extensive community-building experience, Patricia cultivates a global network of purposeful leaders focused on individual and organizational transformation that amplifies positive impact. Patricia helps foster thriving cultures built on trust, inclusion, and collaboration—creating the foundation for sustainable, collective impact that the Grand Bargain Project represents.

Patricia is co-author, The Art of Convening: Authentic Engagement in Meetings, Gatherings, and Conversations (English, Danish, Chinese translations), and author, An Essential Guide to Convening and Collaboration: Great Virtual/Hybrid Meetings; co-founder of Thought Leader Gatherings and Essential Conversations: Conversations imagining and building a world that works for all.

Grandmother to four amazing people who remind her daily why her work matters, Patricia is an avid gardener and sprint triathlete who loves calling Minneapolis home with her husband Craig.

The Center for Collaborative Democracy is a 501(c)3 Nonprofit and the sponsor of the Grand Bargain Project. We strive to help every American reach their potential by working with business leaders, consumer advocates, labor unions, environmentalists, civil rights groups and other major stakeholders to develop innovative solutions for our nation’s most critical problems. We see that process as necessary to reduce the hyper-polarization that threatens our democracy.
