Senior Advisor, Technology & Popular Culture

About me
Ira joined the Center for Collaborative Democracy because he believes the exhausted majority deserves more than choosing between two failing parties—and that the path to repair runs through mindset reframing and unexpected alliances, not predictable coalitions.
For over two decades, Ira has built his career at the intersection of influence and impact, connecting people and ideas that don't appear to fit together. His work spans entertainment (sold MAD MEN to AMC), technology startups, and mission-driven organizations—always with the same thesis: the most transformative partnerships emerge when we challenge all assumptions.
At CCD, Ira architects strategic alliances that expand the Grand Bargain's reach beyond traditional policy circles. He brings together tech founders, civic leaders, cultural influencers, and next-generation changemakers who share a commitment to democracy repair but who might never otherwise meet. His approach is unconventional by design—he doesn't follow established playbooks because the scale and urgency of our challenge demands new thinking, not comfortable certainty.
Ira also serves on the board of Kwaai, a nonprofit advancing AI sovereignty and digital ethics, where he bridges the worlds of technology innovation and governance innovation. He believes governance systems and technology aren't competing values but interdependent futures—and that solving for today's challenges requires building the frameworks that enable tomorrow's possibilities.
